Selection of Boiler Room Location and Separation Requirements from Other Areas
1. The boiler room should be an independent building. When it is independently set up, the fire protection distance from other buildings should meet the requirements of the regulations. 2. The boiler room should not be set up in a residential building. 3. The boiler room shall not be connected to the room where flammable, explosive or other dangerous goods are stored. 4. The selection of fuel for the boiler room shall comply with the following regulations: a. When the boiler room is set up in other buildings, oil or gas fuel should be used. b. For underground, semi-underground, basement and semi-basement boiler rooms, it is strictly forbidden to use liquefied petroleum gas or gas fuel with a relative density > 0.75. c. When trenches or sump pits are set up in the boiler room, effective measures should be taken to prevent the accumulation of flammable gases, flammable vapors, etc. in the trenches and pits. 5. When the boiler room must be arranged adjacent to civil buildings or arranged inside civil buildings due to conditions, it should be set up on the first floor or the first basement floor near the outer wall of the building. It is strictly forbidden to be set up on the upper floor, lower floor, adjacent to crowded places and important departments, and on both sides of the main passages and evacuation exits.
